Platform Engineer

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Platform/DevOps Engineer with 2-3 years of experience who is passionate about building and maintaining highly available and scalable infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka and modern DevOps practices and tools

Accountability

  • Design, build, and manage infrastructure in Azure Cloud using best practices.
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Bicep and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Work on Kubernetes (AKS) for container orchestration and use Argo CD for continuous deployment.
  • Collaborate closely with the development team to ensure smooth deployments and effective CI/CD workflows.
  • Manage Kafka clusters (Apache Kafka or Confluent) to support event-driven architectures.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts in Python, Golang, or PowerShell to support platform services.
  • Ensure reliability, observability, and scalability by implementing monitoring, alerting, and logging practices.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide technical support to resolve them efficiently.

About you

Must have:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Platform or DevOps engineering role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Cloud (Compute, Networking, Storage, etc.).
  • Proficiency in managing Kubernetes (preferably AKS) and deploying applications using Helm and Argo CD.
  • Experience with Kafka or Confluent.
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, especially Terraform.
  • Scripting experience with at least one language: Python, Golang, or PowerShell.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and processes.
  • Problem-solving mindset, with good communication skills and a collaborative spirit.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or other CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, or other monitoring tools.
  • Experience with container security, RBAC, and best practices in cloud security.
  • Developer experience, including understanding of application development processes, debugging etc
  • Experience on Snowflake
